About the Role

Equity Afia is recruiting a Clinical Officer for a full-time position based in West Pokot. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients presenting with a range of medical and surgical conditions

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection standards
• Work collaboratively with other clinical staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Ensure all clinical activities meet regulatory and ethical standards set by the Clinical Officers Council

Requirements & Qualifications

• Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery (mandatory)
• Current registration with the Clinical Officers Council and valid practicing license
• Minimum one year of post-internship clinical experience in either a public or private hospital setting
• At least one year of hands-on experience working in a busy health facility
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Demonstrated knowledge in non-communicable disease management and treatment protocols
• Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical teams and interact professionally with patients
