About the Role
BURN is recruiting a Regional Sales Manager – Kenya to lead commercial operations across an assigned region. This full-time position is based in Nairobi and carries end-to-end accountability for business performance, operational execution, customer quality, and regional growth within the Electric business unit. The successful candidate will manage all regional commercial channels—including field sales, stock points, and customer retention—while maintaining strict operational discipline and profitability targets.

You will oversee regional teams, execute commercial strategy aligned with national objectives, and drive sustainable growth through agent productivity, channel expansion, and customer retention. Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall regional business performance across all assigned channels and clusters, serving as the primary commercial owner.
- Execute the regional sales strategy to support national business objectives and drive regional growth targets.
- Manage field team leadership, including recruitment, onboarding, performance coaching, and capability development of sales agents, team leaders, clerks, and retention representatives.
- Drive sustainable sales growth and customer acquisition through field execution, agent productivity improvements, and strategic channel expansion.
- Oversee stock management and operational control across the region, including daily reconciliations, stock accountability, ageing management, and loss prevention controls.
- Monitor and improve customer repayment efficiency, usage rates, and retention outcomes through quality onboarding and proactive customer support.
- Ensure operational efficiency by coordinating with cross-functional teams—including Commercial Operations, Customer Experience, After-sales, Finance, and Supply Chain—to resolve issues and maintain service standards.
- Implement corrective actions by identifying commercial opportunities, operational gaps, and performance risks, then escalating key business risks including fraud, stock loss, and compliance issues to leadership.
- Provide accurate business reporting, regional performance analysis, and recovery plans to senior management on a routine basis.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of field sales management experience, preferably in FMCG, pay-as-you-go, energy, or telecom sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing distributed field teams across multi-channel sales models.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance, repayment efficiency, and customer usage metrics.
- Strong commercial acumen with analytical skills to interpret performance data and inform decision-making.
- Experience managing stock integrity, inventory controls, and field operations logistics.
- Established capability in people management, team coaching, and performance accountability mechanisms.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while maintaining execution discipline and compliance standards.
