About the Role
Stratostaff is recruiting a Marketing Assistant for a full-time position based in Nairobi. This role sits within the Sales & Marketing department and involves supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and internal communications. You will report to the Marketing Manager and work across multiple channels including social media, events, public relations, and brand compliance.
The Marketing Assistant role at Stratostaff is suited to someone with 1–2 years of marketing or communications experience who understands campaign coordination, digital platforms, and brand management. You will gain exposure to all aspects of marketing operations while helping the team maintain consistency, meet deadlines, and report on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand activations by managing timelines, arranging materials and suppliers, supporting on-site activities, and tracking progress to ensure completion on schedule.
- Assist with day-to-day social media and digital platform management, including content scheduling, liaison with external agencies, and analysis of engagement metrics and performance data.
- Support public relations activities by helping draft and distribute internal communications, managing media inquiries, and maintaining records of press coverage and PR initiatives.
- Work with designers and printers to coordinate production and timely delivery of the quarterly company magazine, including content gathering and quality checks.
- Ensure brand guidelines and internal policies are followed across all marketing activities by verifying compliance and maintaining documentation for audits, ISO certification, and HSSEQ standards.
- Contribute to market research efforts, including tracking competitor activity, gathering customer insights, and measuring campaign performance to inform strategy recommendations.
- Assist in planning and coordinating company events, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring all logistics and materials are in place.
- Prepare marketing reports, presentations, and performance summaries for leadership and internal teams, compiling data and insights from various channels.
- Maintain and update marketing databases, contact lists, and asset libraries to ensure records remain accurate and accessible to the team.
- Support cross-functional teams in rolling out internal communication campaigns, ensuring staff are informed of marketing initiatives, brand updates, and company announcements.
- Track industry trends, media coverage, and emerging marketing tools, reporting findings to help the team refine its approach.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including preparing meeting materials, scheduling, and handling daily operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a Second Upper Class grade or equivalent.
- KCSE qualification graded B+ or above.
- 1–2 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand activations, including working with agencies, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Working knowledge of social media management and digital marketing platforms and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with brand guidelines, compliance documentation, audit requirements, and regulatory standards such as ISO and HSSEQ.
- Relevant certifications in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Public Relations are advantageous but not required.
