Role Summaries

Cook III (18 Posts)

• Prepare raw materials and foodstuffs in line with food production standards and approved recipes
• Maintain kitchen equipment and work surfaces to hygiene and cleanliness requirements
• Arrange and set up cooking equipment and food preparation stations for daily kitchen operations
• Alert supervisors to faulty or broken kitchen equipment requiring maintenance or repair

Housekeeping Assistant III (5 Posts)

• Clean, dust, and upkeep rooms, hallways, and common areas in line with institutional standards
• Execute laundry duties including washing, ironing, and folding of guest and institutional textiles
• Replenish and order cleaning materials and supplies across assigned work zones
• Keep housekeeping equipment and tools properly stored in designated areas per facility guidelines

Security Warden II (25 Posts)

• Perform routine patrols of designated areas and monitor entry and exit points to block unauthorised access
• Inspect personnel and vehicles to manage access to secured premises and protected locations
• Log and communicate security incidents and relevant details to supervisors without delay
• Block unauthorised entry to protected zones and secure the perimeter of assigned areas

Artisan III (19 Posts)

• Support repair and maintenance activities under the guidance of qualified artisans
• Carry out technical work in trades such as carpentry, masonry, welding, painting, or plumbing
• Aid skilled tradespeople in finishing projects and installations on budget and on schedule
• Use hand tools and equipment in a safe and compliant manner throughout all work

General Requirements

• KCSE mean grade of D plain or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
• Cook III applicants must hold a Craft Certificate in Food and Beverage Production, Sales and Service, or complete minimum two months formal training from Kenya Utalii College or an equivalent recognised provider
• Housekeeping Assistant III applicants require minimum two months formal training in Housekeeping and/or Laundry from a registered training centre
• Security Warden II applicants must hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from Kenya Police, be no older than 35 years, and demonstrate sound physical and mental fitness
• Artisan III applicants must possess a Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in their chosen trade (Carpentry, Masonry, Welding, Painting, or Plumbing), and show competency in computer applications
• Readiness to work full-time in Nairobi as assigned by PSC
