Primary Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with designers to transform UI/UX wireframes into functional web pages.
  2. Create responsive, mobile-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  3. Integrate interactive elements and animations for enhanced user engagement.
  4. Employ front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) to streamline development processes.
  5. Extend website capabilities by integrating third-party APIs and services.
  6. Ensure optimal performance and cross-browser compatibility across devices and platforms.
  7. Test and debug websites to identify and resolve issues.
  8. Enhance website speed and performance for seamless user experiences.
  9. Update existing websites with new content, features, and enhancements.
  10. Coordinate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and server-side components.
  11. Stay current with emerging web development trends and technologies.
  12. Adhere to industry best practices for code quality and maintainability.
  13. Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  14. Document code, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Academic Qualifications

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field.

Experience

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Web Developer or in a comparable position.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery).
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • Basic knowledge of back-end programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Ruby) and databases.
  • Solid grasp of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Previous exposure to content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.
