Responsibilities
- Welcome and seating guests, in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintaining the dining area in a clean and presentable condition
- Ensure crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
- Ensure that customers are correctly charged as required, present the bill and take payment from the customer in accordance with the procedures of the hotel.
- Assist in food/beverage cost control, control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.
- Prepare meal set-up as per meal service.
- Be totally familiar with the composition of the menu items for the day before start of meal service.
Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant.
- Good oral and written communication skills (English& Swahili).
- Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- He/she should be a good team player.
- Must have excellent customer care skills.
- Willing to learn and very flexible.
