Job Scope and Purpose
In the role of a Warehouse Stock Analyst at City Walk Limited, you’ll have a vital role in efficiently managing and optimizing inventory within our retail warehouse operations. Your responsibilities cover a broad spectrum of tasks related to inventory control, analysis, and reporting to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of goods throughout our supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Stock Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Sales Contribution Analysis: Reporting on sales contributions within departments/categories and across the business, identifying best and worst sellers.
- Stock and Sales Report: Evaluating the efficiency of replenishment and allocation to stores.
- Stock Trends by Store: Analyzing historical sales data and making comparisons over various timeframes.
- Individual Store Chart Report: Monitoring the weekly and bi-weekly stock sales performance of individual stores.
- 80-20 Sales Report: Identifying high-performing stores and key product categories.
- Sell Out Rate Report: Tracking product movement within stores to guide replenishment, marketing, and regrouping decisions.
- Stock Composition Report: Assessing merchandise mix to determine popular and less popular items within stores.
- Supporting Branch Teams: Assisting branch teams with effective stock management to improve sales.
Inventory Analysis
- Monitoring inventory levels, trends, and demand patterns to spot issues and opportunities.
- Conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Analyzing slow-moving and obsolete items and suggesting actions.
Demand Forecasting
- Collaborating with branch teams to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Adjusting inventory levels based on sales trends, seasons, and promotions.
Replenishment Planning
- Establishing reorder points and quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Coordinating with procurement for timely and efficient stock replenishment.
Reporting and Data Analysis
- Generating and distributing regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and KPIs.
- Utilizing data analytics tools to identify process improvement opportunities.
Process Improvement
- Identifying ways to streamline warehouse processes and reduce operational costs.
- Implementing best practices for efficient stock handling and storage.
Collaboration
- Working closely with warehouse staff, inventory managers, and branch teams to meet inventory-related goals.
- Participating in regular meetings to provide insights and updates on stock-related matters.
Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
- Monitoring product quality and integrity to prevent damaged or expired stock.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A proven track record of 3-4 years in inventory control, stock analysis, or related roles within a retail or warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment.
