Role Description

As a Risk Surveyor, your role entails evaluating and analyzing potential risks connected to our client’s operations. You’ll be responsible for identifying hazards, assessing risk levels, and devising effective strategies for risk management. This position presents an excellent opportunity to gain further expertise in insurance risk surveys, collaborating closely with business development, reinsurance, underwriting, and claims teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform thorough physical risk surveys at clients’ premises.
  2. Capture and compile photographic evidence during the surveys.
  3. Draft internal risk survey reports and review external reports for underwriters.
  4. Propose risk improvement measures to underwriters post-survey.
  5. Provide clients with advice and recommendations for necessary improvements.
  6. Follow up with clients (including brokers, agents, and direct clients) to monitor the progress of agreed-upon risk recommendations within specified timelines.
  7. Stay updated on legislative changes related to risk management and protection.
  8. Collaborate with the risk control team and other departments to uphold a high level of technical expertise and standards.
  9. Keep abreast of technical aspects and emerging trends influencing risks, such as trade processes, legislation, and hazardous materials.
  10. Fulfill any other responsibilities assigned as needed.
