Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and validation of tools for the research activity.
- Participate in designing and developing of the research study activities and documents.
- Participate in field data collection activities as required by project schedules.
- Participate in field debrief sessions and raise data collection issues or challenges to inform next steps.
- Follow a strict code of ethics and ensure confidentiality of information and informants at all times.
- Adhere to storage guidelines of both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and dissemination activities as required.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Lead Researcher.
Qualifications and Skills
- Suitable candidates MUST be able to conduct field research using a variety of methods.
- Bachelor’s training in humanitarian and or, education field or any other related fields. A Master’s degree is an added advantage
- At least two years of experience in collecting research data using different data collection techniques including literature review, in-depth interviews, and key informant interviews amongst others.
- Experience in programs for refugee settlements and Internally Displaced Persons communities (IDPs) is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
