Scope of Work:

The LISA program, which is administered by SoCha LLC, is seeking an Enumerator (Consultant) to conduct data collection during fieldwork for an assessment of the HPN/USAID KEA Maternal and Newborn Health Program. The assessment will cover nine (9) counties: Vihiga, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Nakuru, Kwale, Turkana, and Nairobi. This consultant will be contracted by SoCha and will report directly to the designated Technical Lead (Consultant).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Fieldwork: Gather and record data through observation, interviews, active listening, and data abstraction. Data sources will include reports, charts from facilities, and information obtained during facility assessments, focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs).
  2. Documentation and Reporting: Organize and share completed data collection forms, including individual and summary notes gathered during facility assessments, focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs).
  3. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, maintain data accuracy, and prioritize confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, health sciences, or related disciplines from a recognized university.
  • The enumerator should possess over three years of expertise in data collection and fieldwork during stakeholder engagements, including facility assessments, focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs).
  • Familiarity with Maternal Neonatal Health (MNH) Standards and guidelines is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills.
