About the Role

Vaal Real Estate, Kenya’s leading real estate service provider, is recruiting a Fluent Portuguese Translator & Speaker for a full-time position in Nairobi. This role bridges communication between the company and Portuguese-speaking clients and partners seeking property solutions across Kenya. The position sits within the Sales & Marketing function, where language proficiency and cultural understanding are essential assets.

As a Fluent Portuguese Translator & Speaker at Vaal Real Estate, you will serve as a critical communication link in real estate transactions, client consultations, and business development activities. Your work will directly support the company’s expansion into Portuguese-speaking markets and enhance service delivery to international clients. This is a full-time appointment based in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate real estate documents, contracts, and marketing materials from English to Portuguese and vice versa with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Conduct client consultations and property viewings in Portuguese, communicating property features, pricing, and terms clearly
• Interpret during negotiations, sales meetings, and formal transactions involving Portuguese-speaking parties
• Prepare translated correspondence, emails, and reports to support Sales & Marketing activities in Kenya
• Liaise between internal teams and Portuguese-speaking clients to resolve communication barriers and ensure smooth transactions
• Maintain accurate records of translations and communications related to client interactions

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, or HND) in any relevant field
• Fluency in both Portuguese and English, demonstrated through written and verbal communication
• Proven experience as a translator or in a bilingual client-facing role
• Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts in both languages
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in translation work
• Professional communication skills and ability to represent the company with integrity
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously
