Job description

Document and package deliveries:

  • Delivering internal documents, packages, and incoming mail to the appropriate people after collecting, sorting, and distributing them to them.
  • Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods inside the company.

Interoffice communication:

  • Deliver messages, correspondence, and interoffice mail between multiple departments or locations.
  • Keep track of deliveries and get signatures when necessary.

Liaison with External Couriers and Vendors:

  • Arrange for the collection or delivery of goods with external couriers and vendors as necessary.
  • Before accepting or sending out packages, make sure they are accurate and complete.

Errands and office supplies:

  • Run organizational errands as needed or assist with business activities like buying and restocking office supplies.

Mailroom Structure:

  • Ensure that the delivery area or mailroom is tidy and organized.
  • Organize and maintain the materials and equipment in the mailroom.

Sorting and preparing mail:

  • Prior to distribution, sort incoming mail and packages.
  • Prepare shipments, packages, and outgoing mail in accordance with the organization’s policies.

Protection and Security:

  • When handling sensitive or confidential papers, follow safety regulations and security procedures.
  • Inform the appropriate staff of any security issues or events.
