LOWER PRIMARY/ECD TEACHER’S JOB DESCRIPTION
- Plan and execute appropriate activities for the students each day according to the curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
- Assist with planning the curriculum by providing safe, creative, and appropriate educational opportunities for all children within an inclusive environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified teacher with a P1 diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Demonstrate a strong passion for education and young children
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Team player mentality – enjoy working in teams and group problem-solving.
- Computer literate with the ability to integrate ICT in all activity areas
- Registered by the TSC and issued with TSC Number
- CBC training will be an added advantage (Primary & ECD Levels.)
- Have a good command of written and spoken English
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans, while establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities
- Keep updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
- Prepare the classroom for class activities and be able to use relevant technology to support instruction
