Job Overview

This internship opportunity offers an intensive six-month training experience within Microsoft’s top-tier solution platforms. Interns will collaborate with experienced Microsoft system developers and implementers to gain hands-on experience in system development, implementation, integration, and IT project delivery. The goal is to prepare interns to become proficient Microsoft certified professionals capable of managing end-to-end solution deployment and client support.

Reporting Structure

In this role, you will report to a designated intern coordinator who will also serve as your mentor.

Duration

The internship lasts for six months, with the initial three months dedicated to intensive training. During this period, you will undergo continuous skill assessments, focusing on system development and implementation. The remaining time will be devoted to practical client assignments, guided by an Associate Consultant. Exceptional interns who excel in the program may be considered for permanent positions as System Developers or System Implementers at Green Com.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers and associate consultants to complete assigned tasks, such as technical documentation and entry-level system deployment activities.
• Participate in all training sessions and skill assessments organized by the Company.
• Achieve passing scores in all aspects of the internship program to continue in the program and be eligible for permanent employment consideration.
• Assist in system installation, setup, and configuration under the guidance of a mentor.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Green Com’s business solutions and deployment platforms.
• Gain a thorough grasp of the Microsoft Sure Step methodology.
• Undertake assigned tasks for ongoing projects.
• Actively participate in innovation projects at Green Com.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, or a related field. Successful completion of all course requirements, along with graduation or pending graduation, is required. Candidates who have not yet graduated should provide introduction letters and transcripts from their respective universities.

Minimum B plain in KCSE is essential. CPA-K or ACCA certification is a plus. Solid understanding of SDLC development processes. Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Client-focused mindset with effective customer-facing skills. Proficiency in communication and documentation. Enthusiasm for technology and a strong eagerness to learn. Thorough comprehension of business processes and conceptual models, combined with excellent presentation and training abilities.
