Investment Analyst Purpose

The primary purpose of this Investment Analyst role is to conduct thorough research and analysis of the Financial Markets and selected companies, with the aim of providing valuable insights for making sound Investment Decisions and other Strategic Company Decisions.

The key responsibilities of this Investment Analyst include

1. Conducting research on specific companies, sectors, the economy, and the overall market.
2. Providing updates on the bonds market, including yield curve analysis.
3. Offering updates on the equities market, covering important aspects such as demand, supply, turnover, foreign participation, and predicting potential market trends.
4. Providing updates on the Commercial Paper and Structures Notes markets, focusing on yield analysis.
5. Keeping track of Bank Deposit yields.
6. Participating in Investor Briefings and Investment Committee meetings.
7. Being an active member of the Investment Committee, contributing to the evaluation, formulation, and implementation of investment strategies.
8. Undertaking Bank Due Diligence to ensure informed decision-making.
9. Managing and organizing the database to capture all Investment and market data, including Stocks and Bonds Markets, Economic Information, and Comparative Financial Information on Market Intermediaries.

Qualifications and Core Competencies:

To excel in this role, qualified candidates are expected to possess the following:

1. University Degree in a Business-Related course.
2. Possession of a CFA/CIFA Charter or active pursuit of the CFA/CIFA Program.
3. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate findings.
5. Self-driven and growth-oriented individual with a high level of integrity.
6. Ability to network within the investment Industry.
7. Excellent writing and communication skills.
8. Preferably 1-2 years of experience in the Investment Industry.
