JOB SUMMARY

Daily upkeep and sanitation of all hospital areas, including patient rooms, offices, and public spaces while ensuring that our facility meets all cleanliness standards and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Thoroughly clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms, surgical areas, and other spaces according to hospital protocols.
  •  Use disinfectants and other cleaning solutions according to manufacturer instructions and hospital policies.
  •  Perform deep cleaning of rooms between patient stays and as needed to maintain a sterile environment and an updated checklist.
  • Dispose of trash and medical waste according to hospital policies and health regulations as well as observe IPC policy.
  •  Handle hazardous materials safely, using protective gear and following proper protocols.
  •  Restock supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and personal protective equipment in designated areas.
  •  Assist in setting up and cleaning up rooms for patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  •  Ensure that cleaning and maintenance materials are available and stored properly.
  •  Implement infection control practices as prescribed by hospital guidelines and training.
  •  Ensure maintaince of the scrubbing machine by adhering to user guidelines.
  •  Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • K.C.S.E Certificate
  • A certificate in any other course will be an added advantage.
  • 2 years of work experience in a hospital setting.
