Solpia Kenya Limited is in urgent need of a skilled graphic designer to join our team.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated graphic designer to become a valuable part of our growing company. Your main responsibility will be to collaborate with our internal marketing and sales teams to create captivating images and campaigns that will expand our user base. We are seeking someone who is passionate about design and can use their creativity to produce stunning visuals and compelling content. Your tasks will involve developing graphics for digital platforms that complement our written content.

Responsibilities:

As a graphic designer in this role, you will be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

1. Create and design various materials for both digital and print purposes.
2. Select appropriate colors, fonts, images, and layouts to enhance the overall design.
3. Ensure projects are completed on time without compromising on quality.
4. Provide insights and suggestions for optimizing design projects.
5. Collaborate with internal team members to come up with innovative approaches for creating expressive graphics.
6. Utilize a variety of media and graphic design software to achieve your objectives.
7. Establish creative direction while adhering to brand guidelines.
8. Manage multiple projects, ensuring they meet design specifications and budget constraints.
9. Determine the appropriate voice and messaging for each graphic design piece.
10. Conduct quality assurance checks for design errors.
11. Actively incorporate feedback and make necessary changes to improve designs.
12. Create visualizations that effectively convey the project’s intended message.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:

To be eligible for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a creative field.
2. Proficiency in software programs like Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator.
3. Skill in typography, including fonts, logo creation, layout, storyboard creation, and branding guidelines.
4. Knowledge of print design, including digital printing, press printing, color balancing, and color calibration.
5. A minimum of two years of experience in graphic design.
6. A diverse portfolio showcasing various creative projects.
7. Strong time management and organizational skills.
8. Familiarity with HTML and CSS would be beneficial.
9. Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web design.
