Adeso is seeking a dynamic and motivated Finance Intern to join our team in Nairobi. This full-time position will be instrumental in providing financial support to Adeso’s diverse businesses and project activities, ensuring adherence to Adeso policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Data Entry and Analysis:
   • Assist in accurately entering financial data into the system.
   • Conduct preliminary analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
2. Budget Support:
   • Collaborate with the Finance team to contribute to the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
   • Assist in budget variance analysis to ensure financial goals are met.
3. Financial Reporting:
   • Support in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
   • Ensure timely submission of financial documentation and reports.
4. Invoice Processing:
   • Assist in processing invoices and verifying supporting documents.
   • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies.
5. Compliance and Auditing:
   • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure adherence to Adeso policies and procedures.
   • Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
6. Financial Communication:
   • Collaborate with the team to communicate financial information effectively within the organization.
   • Participate in meetings to discuss financial updates and address queries.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
