Job Specification:

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

1. Driving vehicles as authorized;
2. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles;
3. Detecting and report malfunctioning of vehicles system;
4. Maintaining records of vehicles;
5. Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle;
6. Overseeing safety of the passengers and or goods therein;
7. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle;
8. Ensuring adherence to or observations of traffic laws; and
9. Reporting any accidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur.

Person Specification:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. At least four (4) years driving experience
2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of D+ or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
3. Valid driving license;
4. First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT), St. John Ambulance or equivalent from a recognized institution.
5. Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III; and
6. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
