Primary Purpose
- Assisting in managing the Financial & Accounting Function at the camp so as to provide relevant, accurate and meaningful financial information on a consistent and timeous basis – both historic and future based.
Responsibilities
- Keeping track of all stock purchases transfers through the system to all Camp Stores and verifying them with the actual delivery Note
- Ensuring that all stock issues from the stores to other departments or end users are properly recorded and authorized by the manager for control purposes.
- Conducting of physical stock counts for all the stores for verification of physical balances with system balances.
- Posting of daily stock returns for all stock transactions at (POS) Points of Sales
- Departments and monitoring revenue collections and stock movements by conducting physical counts.
- Recording of daily revenue collections, credit sales and stock movements and reconciliations of the monthly return reports from all POS departments.
- Checking of fuel balances and reconciling with scale readings for the daily issues and receipts.
- Recording the movements of fuel on a daily spread sheet for the reconciliation purposes at the close of the month.
- Preparing reports for all stores stocks reconciliations and Valuations on monthly basis
- Raising of Invoices for credit sales and Internal Debit Notes for lodge issues and stock transfers to other sister Camp units.
- Preparing monthly food cost and fuel consumption cost per guest based on the total number of guests received in a month.
- Preparing Camp payroll inputs and submitting the spreadsheet reports to the Wages Department.
- Preparing a final detailed summaries of all the Stores showing the total costs of Issues and Credit Sales summaries on a spread sheet on monthly basis.
- Supervising stores attendants for good keeping of the inventory records, receipts and issues.
- Any other duties, as you may be signed by the line managers.
Qualification:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CAT is preferred.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role in hospitality industry is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Skills: Excellent communication skills both written and oral, in English.
