- Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
- Basic Salary: Kshs. 47,714 (Minimum) – Kshs. 69,326 (maximum)
- Other remunerations: Based on prevailing Government guidelines
- Reporting to Senior Accountant Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing already achieved vouchers within the department to prevent the loss of documents by ensuring all retrieved documents are returned promptly;
- Preparing payment vouchers, impress, and committal documents in accordance with laid down financial rules and regulations;
- Capturing data and maintaining primary records such as cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers, and preparation of simple management reports;
- Receiving duly processed payments and receipt vouchers for filing in accordance with ISO standards;
- Receiving, recording, and sorting documents delivered to the department for processing;
- Balancing and ruling the cash books on a daily basis to ensure the accuracy and correctness of financial data;
- Updating the revenue collection register;
- Drafting and updating the cash liquidity analysis;
- Archiving and filing of all finance documents;
- Maintaining individual ledgers for CCARF advances and recoveries;
- Preparing monthly expenditure returns; and
- Calculating and valuation of CCARF to be advanced to farmers.
Requirements:
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce (Accounting Option), Business Administration (Accounting Option), Business Management (Accounting or Finance Option), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certified Public Accountant II (CPA II) by Kenya Accountants and Secretaries Examination Board (KASNEB) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in Computer applications;
- National Police Clearance Certificate.
- An applicant with at least two (2) years of working experience in the accounting field will have an added advantage.
