Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Maintenance of accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
- Maintain petty cash, casual payment and administrative costs payments against approved vouchers.
- Prepare and verify financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, cheques, and approved expenses.
- Receive, document and deposit/send all cheques to supplier and advice.
- Prepare and process statutory deductions including VAT, PAYE, NSSF and NHIF deductions
- Carry out on site payment of labour for projects as per approved schedule.
- Carry out filing of accounting records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Kenya Accounting Technician Diploma (KATD) certificate
- CPA part two
- Report writing and analytical skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in auditing preferably in an account department of a busy institution. (experience in a water company is an added advantage)
