Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
  • Maintenance of accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
  • Maintain petty cash, casual payment and administrative costs payments against approved vouchers.
  • Prepare and verify financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, cheques, and approved expenses.
  • Receive, document and deposit/send all cheques to supplier and advice.
  • Prepare and process statutory deductions including VAT, PAYE, NSSF and NHIF deductions
  • Carry out on site payment of labour for projects as per approved schedule.
  • Carry out filing of accounting records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Job Specifications

  • Kenya Accounting Technician Diploma (KATD) certificate
  • CPA part two
  • Report writing and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in auditing preferably in an account department of a busy institution. (experience in a water company is an added advantage)
