Job Title

Waitstaff / Food & Beverage Service Staff

Job Purpose

The Waitstaff will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service to guests while maintaining excellent customer experience, hygiene standards, and service efficiency in line with hotel operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in accordance with established hotel service standards

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar

• Provide table service, buffet service, and banqueting support as required

• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and equipment at all times

• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and escalate where necessary

• Process orders and payments using POS systems while observing proper cash handling procedures

• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations

Job Requirements

• Minimum certificate in Food and Beverage Service or a related field

• At least one year of professional experience in a hotel, restaurant, or café environment

• Experience in table service, buffet service, or banqueting is an added advantage

• Valid Food Handlers Certificate is mandatory

• Good knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and basic food allergens

• Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods and carry service trays

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• High standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional conduct
