Assistant Accountant

Job Purpose

The Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day hospital accounting operations by ensuring accurate revenue reconciliation, supporting billing and insurance processes, and assisting with statutory and financial reporting in line with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of hospital revenues and ensure accuracy of financial records

• Support billing, invoicing, and processing of insurance claims

• Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities

• Support preparation of financial statements and statutory reports

• Maintain proper documentation and organized accounting records

• Assist with month-end and period-end accounting processes

• Support compliance with internal controls and financial procedures

• Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing and accounting queries

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA Part II or ongoing CPA qualification is an added advantage

• Minimum of 1–2 years relevant accounting experience

• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accuracy

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
