  • The Admin & Data Science intern will be required to provide comprehensive administrative support to the organization while leveraging data science skills to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making processes, and support various departments with data-driven insights. This role bridges the gap between administrative tasks and data analysis, contributing to the organization’s overall productivity and achieving strategic goals.

Tasks
Administrative Support:

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and handling correspondence.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documents for internal and external stakeholders.

Data Science Support:

  • Data Collection: Assist in the design and implementation of data collection tools and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to gather relevant information on project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Data Management: Organize and maintain data collected from various sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate statistical software or tools. Summarize findings and contribute to preparing reports, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Support the regular monitoring of project activities, progress, and indicators. Help prepare periodic reports on project performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Conduct data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in research and analysis projects to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in recycling processes and social impact initiatives.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements

  • A degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and social impact.
  • Knowledge of recycling processes and sustainability practices is an added advantage.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
