Job Specifications
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work underthe guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Attending to general routine office services;
- Performing messengerial duties;
- Performing cleaning services;
- Collecting and disposing of general waste;
- Ensuring tidiness of the working environment;
- Providing specifications for cleaning materials and equipment;
- Dusting offices and ensuring habitable office conditions;
- Keeping safe custody of cleaning materials and equipment;
- Preparing and serving refreshments;
- Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensure orderly arrangement;and
- Dispatching letters, files and other documents.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D+ (plus) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Skills and competencies
- Interpersonal relationship skills;
- Communication skills; and
- Ability to work in a team.
