Responsibilities

• Welcome and seating guests, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintaining the dining area in a clean and presentable condition
• Ensure crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
• Ensure that customers are correctly charged as required, present the bill and take payment from the customer in accordance with the procedures of the hotel.
• Assist in food/beverage cost control, control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.
• Prepare meal set-up as per meal service.
• Be totally familiar with the composition of the menu items for the day before start of meal service.

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant.
• Good oral and written communication skills (English& Swahili).
• Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• He/she should be a good team player.
• Must have excellent customer care skills.
• Willing to learn and very flexible.
