Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma, or postgraduate qualification (MSc/MA) in Nautical Science, Marine Navigation, or a related maritime discipline.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as an Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (STCW II/1), Master Mariner, or Chief Mate (STCW II/2).
- Minimum 2–3 years of sea service with documented maritime experience.
- Prior teaching or training experience in a maritime institution is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of IMO Model Courses and current STCW international requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare instructional materials and assessments for maritime education.
