About the Role
Power Learn Project is recruiting a Program Officer, Digital Skilling Programs to manage the delivery of donor-funded digital skills initiatives across Kenya. This full-time position is based in Nairobi and involves coordinating program operations, monitoring learner outcomes, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. You’ll work at the operational centre of a Pan-African NGO committed to equipping youth with technology skills that create real career pathways.
The Program Officer, Digital Skilling Programs at Power Learn Project will serve as the link between learners, delivery partners, and funding organisations. You’ll oversee program budgets, track progress through learning management systems, and conduct regular site visits to verify implementation quality. This role demands strong organisational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end program delivery for digital skilling initiatives, including tracking learner progress and cohort advancement through the LMS and program databases.
- Manage program budgets and expenditure records, ensuring accurate financial documentation and timely reporting to donors and sponsors.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities using data dashboards, tracking tools, and learner surveys to measure program outcomes and identify improvements.
- Liaise with implementing partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders to align on program objectives, address challenges, and maintain productive partnerships.
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection protocols across all program activities and documentation.
- Visit program sites regularly to support implementation, validate data accuracy, and interact with learners and delivery teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, development studies, education, business administration, social sciences, information technology, public policy, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience managing donor-funded programs, preferably in education, digital skills training, or international development sectors.
- Demonstrated experience with program budgeting, financial record-keeping, and donor/sponsor reporting.
- Hands-on proficiency with learning management systems, data dashboards, tracking tools, and survey methods for monitoring and evaluation.
- Proven track record coordinating multiple partners and managing learner cohorts and program operations at scale.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding standards, information confidentiality, and data protection, with willingness to travel to program delivery sites.
- Professional certification in project management, monitoring and evaluation, grants management, or data analysis (preferred but not essential).
- Experience managing compliance and documentation within multi-partner, donor-funded program environments (valued).
