About the Role
Cosmos Limited is recruiting an Electrical & Electronic Technician – Instrumentation to join its engineering team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position focused on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in control systems, calibration, and process instrumentation to support safe and efficient operations across production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and instrumentation systems across production areas
- Calibrate sensors, transmitters, control valves, and measuring instruments to specification
- Support operation and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules and respond to corrective maintenance requests
- Diagnose equipment faults, document root causes, and recommend technical improvements
- Verify compliance with safety standards, quality protocols, and environmental regulations
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and system documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on equipment upgrades and projects
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with instrumentation specialisation, or equivalent qualification (HND accepted)
- Three to five years of documented experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems
- Practical knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and process control equipment
- Demonstrated competency in calibration procedures and measurement instrument operation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities when diagnosing system faults
- Proficiency with engineering software tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and preventive maintenance practices
- Professional registration or relevant technical certification is advantageous
