BURN is recruiting an IT Intern to join the organisation in Nairobi on a full-time basis. Since 2013, the organisation has sold over 200,000 high-quality locally produced stoves, proving the commercial viability of sustainable cooking technology. Key Responsibilities

• Support routine departmental operations and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily workflows.
• Assist in gathering, organising, and analysing data; prepare documentation and compile reports as directed.
• Contribute to active projects by supporting coordination activities and helping execute planned initiatives.
• Research relevant information and assemble findings to advance departmental goals and decision-making.
• Create and maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems relevant to your assigned area.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and departmental briefings to stay aligned with organisational priorities.
• Work with colleagues across departments to help meet shared objectives and deliver results.
• Complete additional duties and special projects assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Recently completed or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme in a related field (IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop skills in a professional environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable working with people across different levels.
• Strong capacity to organise workload, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Solid analytical thinking and capability to identify and resolve practical problems.
• Ability to work independently when required and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliable, adaptable approach to work with a commitment to professional integrity.
