About the Role

KCB Bank Kenya is recruiting a Direct Sales Representative – Coast Region to join its retail sales team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position focused on identifying and acquiring new customers for the bank’s product suite. The role combines field prospecting, customer service delivery, and administrative support to drive sales growth across assigned territories.

As a regional sales representative, you’ll work to convert leads into customers by presenting KCB Bank Kenya’s banking solutions, processing applications, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards. This position sits within the bank’s Sales and Business Development function and requires someone who can balance targets with service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop prospective customer leads through referrals, cross-selling opportunities, bank-organised sales activations, and internally provided leads.
• Present product features and benefits to prospective customers in line with product specifications while ensuring fair treatment and transparent communication.
• Guide customers through the application process and help them complete required documentation for the products they wish to purchase.
• Review applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Verify customer identity by comparing original documents (National ID, passport, etc.) against photocopies provided.
• Submit completed, signed applications to the relevant Sales Manager or Retail Support Team within 24 hours of customer sign-off.
• Identify additional banking products suited to customer needs and initiate cross-selling conversations.
• Maintain secure custody of all customer documents in your care and ensure timely escalation of complaints or feedback to branch management.
• Collect market intelligence from field interactions and provide regular sales reports to support product refinement and strategy.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognised university.
• KCSE qualification with a minimum Mean Grade of C+ and at least C+ in Mathematics and English.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to assess customer needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; ability to explain product information clearly.
• Capability to meet sales targets consistently within defined timelines.
• Commitment to maintaining service quality standards and treating all customers fairly.
• Prior experience in sales, customer relationship management, or client-facing roles is preferred.
