About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure quality healthcare delivery
• Deliver integrated childhood illness management (IMCI), immunisation services, prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programmes, antenatal care, and maternity services
• Provide health education and counselling to patients, clients, and community members based on identified health needs and local disease burden
• Refer patients and clients to appropriate higher-level facilities or specialist services when clinical conditions warrant escalation
• Facilitate patient admission processes and develop discharge plans that support continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely health records documenting patient conditions, care provided, and clinical outcomes for audit and reference purposes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic clinical environment compliant with infection control standards
• Work flexible shifts as required by facility operations and healthcare service demands

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognised institution
• Valid registration certificate with the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Current and valid practicing license to practise nursing in Kenya
• Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognised training institution
• Commitment to providing quality patient care in a county health system environment
