Key Responsibilities

• Market and promote logbook loans to prospective clients and manage the full customer lifecycle from application to disbursement
• Evaluate client applications, assess business viability, and determine loan amounts based on collateral appraisal and financial analysis
• Process loan disbursements and maintain accurate client records with supporting documentation verified against lending policies
• Monitor loan repayment schedules, follow up on arrears, and pursue collection action on defaulting accounts to preserve portfolio quality
• Conduct market research to identify new customer segments and growth opportunities within the microfinance sector
• Retain existing clients through consistent service delivery and relationship management, reducing churn and increasing loan renewals
• Ensure full compliance with customer onboarding procedures and conduct chattels verification with management support

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, banking, or a related field
• Minimum C+ grade in KCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification
• At least 3 years of proven experience in logbook loan sales within a financial institution
• Working knowledge of credit risk management, lending practices, and banking sector operations
• Demonstrated competency in sales and marketing with a track record of client acquisition
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyse financial statements and business performance data
• Proficiency in computer systems and office applications for record-keeping and reporting
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the management team
