Marketing Intern at Enko Education – Enko Education Kenya Job Details
About the Role
Enko Education is seeking a Marketing Intern to join the team at Kitengela International School (KISC) in Kenya. This internship position bridges marketing and admissions, requiring someone who can manage inbound enquiries, build content across digital channels, and maintain accurate lead data. The role sits at the frontline of school operations, directly influencing how prospective families discover and choose KISC.
As a Marketing Intern at Enko Education, you will handle first-contact communications with parents via phone, WhatsApp, email, and social media, qualify leads using structured processes, and create marketing materials that strengthen the school’s brand visibility. You will report directly to the Admission Manager and work across all KISC campuses. This is a hands-on internship in Kenya designed for someone with strong communication skills, organizational ability, and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to all inbound enquiries through phone, WhatsApp, email, and social media within agreed response times, conducting initial screening to assess parent needs, curriculum fit, and timeline.
- Classify and update leads in Pipedrive across all pipeline stages, from new lead through to campus visit scheduled, maintaining data accuracy for the admissions team.
- Follow up with warm leads through personalized communications, school information packs, and event invitations to move prospects through the conversion funnel.
- Schedule and confirm campus visits and open day attendance, briefing the Admission Manager ahead of each scheduled visit.
- Create and manage a monthly social media content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp using Canva and AI tools aligned to Enko brand standards.
- Produce social media posts, stories, reels, newsletters, brochures, and event flyers; capture school events and student activities through photography and basic video.
- Draft parent-facing communications including newsletters, open day invitations, and campaign follow-up content.
- Track social media performance, website traffic, and campaign results using platform analytics and Google Analytics; conduct regular competitor research and report on positioning, fees, and messaging.
- Submit weekly reports to the Admission Manager on lead volume, response times, qualification rates, and conversion metrics.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Genuine comfort speaking with strangers and ability to make parents feel heard and welcomed from initial contact through the admissions process.
- Self-motivated approach to lead follow-up, proactive communication, and ability to flag blockers early without requiring reminders.
- Strong organizational capability to manage an open WhatsApp inbox, content calendar, and CRM pipeline simultaneously without lapses.
- Proficiency with Canva, Google Workspace, AI content tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini), and CRM platforms such as Pipedrive.
- Fluent written and spoken English; Swahili is an advantage, and French is a strong bonus given Enko’s pan-African presence.
- Commercial mindset: understanding that each lead represents a potential enrolment and treating every interaction accordingly.
- Potential and attitude valued equally with experience; no specific years of marketing experience required for Internship jobs in Kenya.
What to Expect
- Direct reporting relationship to the Admission Manager with clear weekly reporting cycles and performance metrics.
- Exposure to both lead conversion and content creation, allowing you to develop skills across marketing operations and digital presence management.
- A role where your work directly impacts lead conversion rates, enrolment numbers, and KISC’s growth across all campuses.
