About the Role
Mozza Interiors is recruiting an Interior Design Intern (Entry Level) to join its design team in Kenya. This internship position bridges the gap between classroom learning and hands-on practice in the built environment, offering recent graduates their first structured exposure to professional design workflows, technical documentation, and site coordination. You will work alongside experienced designers on residential and commercial projects, developing both your technical competency and understanding of how interior spaces are delivered from concept through completion.
The Interior Design Intern (Entry Level) at Mozza Interiors will be based in Kenya and will engage in all phases of project delivery, from initial sketches and 3D visualisation through to material procurement and site oversight during installation. Key Responsibilities
- Produce working drawings and photorealistic renderings using industry-standard design software to communicate design intent to clients and contractors.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation such as Bills of Quantities and material schedules to support procurement and cost estimation.
- Investigate and source appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures—including flooring, wall treatments, paint specifications, and structural components—aligned with project briefs and budgets.
- Collaborate with senior design staff to compile and summarise project scopes for client presentations, cost proposals, and supplier orders.
- Oversee fit-out activities on-site, ensuring design specifications are executed correctly and timelines are maintained.

- Recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency in design software including ArchiCAD and 3D rendering tools (3ds Max with Chaos Corona, V-Ray, or equivalent rendering engines).
- Strong spatial reasoning ability and the capacity to translate 2D technical drawings into coherent 3D representations.
- Meticulous attention to detail across plans, elevations, sections, and material specifications.
- Proactive and self-directed approach to learning; willingness to seek clarification and implement feedback without prompting.
What to Expect
- Mentorship from qualified interior designers who will guide your development in technical and conceptual skills.
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from client consultation through design development, documentation, procurement, and installation.
