- Maintain the backloading bay in full operational readiness by performing daily cleaning, organizing work areas, and addressing any equipment maintenance issues.
- Manage hazardous materials storage and labeling protocols, verifying that dangerous goods documentation is complete and compliant before shipment.
- Monitor all material handling equipment for mechanical soundness, documenting faults and liaising with maintenance providers to ensure roadworthiness.
- File, collate, and process all accountable documentation in a timely manner, flagging discrepancies for the Supply and Recovery cell.
- Verify that ISO containers are correctly marked, items are packed securely with proper dunnage, and all packing materials are recovered and re-demanded.
- Support the Senior Technical Stores Person as required and execute any additional tasks assigned by the Storehouse Supervisor or Military Logistics Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, Procurement and Suppliers Management, or a related Business qualification from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili at a minimum of O Level standard or equivalent.
- Possess at least one year of verifiable experience working in a storage, logistics, or supply chain role within an organization of similar size and complexity.
- Exhibit strong competencies in teamwork, resource planning, supplier and customer relationship management, and delivering measurable results under pressure.
- Hold a valid Category C Kenyan Driving Licence (desirable but advantageous for operational mobility).
- Possess Manual Handling Equipment Operator certification or willingness to obtain it (desirable qualification).
