The Kenya Forestry College (KFC) which is established under Section 17 of the Forest Conservation and Management Act, 2016 is managed by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS). The college was established in 1956 and is registered as a Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET) institution. It is the premier college offering courses to equip trainees with high quality technical skills in forestry and the environmental conservation. The college also offers specially tailored short term courses relevant for the conservation sector practitioners including Law Enforcement for County Governments and Community Scouts.
