The Kenya Forestry College (KFC) which is established under Section 17 of the Forest Conservation and Management Act, 2016 is managed by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS). The college was established in 1956 and is registered as a Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET) institution. It is the premier college offering courses to equip trainees with high quality technical skills in forestry and the environmental conservation. The college also offers specially tailored short term courses relevant for the conservation sector practitioners including Law Enforcement for County Governments and Community Scouts.

Method of Application

Interested applicants should visit the KFS website www.kenyaforestservice.org and the KFC website www.kfc.ac.ke to view and apply for interested courses. Applications forms are also available on the two websites. Applicants should download the form, fill them appropriately and send them to following address accompanied by copies of relevant academic documents, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate and banking slip for the application fee;

  • There will be a non-refundable KES 1,000 application fee which should be paid through e-citizen (kfs.ecitizen. go.ke) and attach the e-citizen Government copy or banking slip.
  • Students can also apply through Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) and once placed they should confirm their admission on the KFS Website and contact the Principal for their admission letters.

Applications MUST be received by 30 April, 2025.

The training programmes will be offered at the College located in Londiani, Kericho County commencing on the dates indicated in the websites.
