To work with the kitchen team to produce food for the unit to the highest standard daily for BATUK under direction of the Catering Warrant Officer /Head Chef.
Main duties:
- Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the Kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas, as detail on cleaning schedule.
- Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the Kitchen.
- Ensure proper use of chemical /cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately.
- Assist the chef in the preparation of food and packed meals, as required.
- Ensure dining and service areas are set up and cleaned ready for each service
Secondary duties:
- Clean up spillages when they occur.
- Dispose of rubbish.
- Follow instructions from the chef or nominee.
- To deploy on exercises and work away from base location when required.
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the trade / grade as directed by the MLM.
