Warehouse Supervisor Job Purpose

We’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at the Athi River location. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and supplies, as well as managing inventory. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for training and evaluating warehouse staff, scheduling deliveries, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least a diploma, a minimum of 3 years of warehouse management experience, and proficiency in both English and Swahili.

Job Responsibilities

1. Efficiently plan, organize, and oversee daily warehouse operations.
2. Provide training, evaluate performance, and assign tasks to warehouse employees.
3. Handle the receipt, unpacking, packing, loading, and delivery of materials and supplies.
4. Schedule and prepare orders for delivery and pick-ups.
5. Process requisitions, requests, and maintain accurate inventory records.
6. Operate specialized warehouse equipment and computer systems.
7. Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
9. Assist in developing and implementing warehouse standards and procedures.
10. Collaborate with the logistics team, suppliers, and transportation contractors.

Qualifications

1. Diploma or higher in supply chain, procurement, or logistics.
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
3. Proficiency in SAP.
4. Knowledge of warehousing practices, stock control methods, and equipment.
5. Competence in forklift operation and other warehouse machinery.
6. Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping.
7. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
8. Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
9. Ability to lift, move, sort, and store objects.
10. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Results-driven with a positive attitude and energy.
12. Adaptability and creative problem-solving in changing situations.
