Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome guests and escort them to their tables and provide menus.
  • Explain any specials or promotions. Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware. Ensure tables are clean and well-presented. Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure they are enjoying their meals. Address any questions or concerns from guests promptly and professionally.
  • Present bills, process payments, and provide accurate change. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods securely.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other wait staff to ensure efficient service. Assist colleagues during busy periods or whenever
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Recommend daily specials, additional courses, and beverages to enhance the guest experience. Promote special events or offers happening within the hotel.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in food and beverage management or any other equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience on a similar role in a 3-5 star hotel
  • Knowledge of Micros, Hospitality Oracle Suite 8
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to take accurate orders and deliver them correctly.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues.
