Job Opportunity: Senior Staff Engineer – Backend Engineering Team
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Engineer to join our dynamic Backend Engineering team. In this senior role, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities will include working independently, acting as a coach, and contributing significantly within our company. Our focus is on delivering high-quality output, emphasizing infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, and automated testing across all environments, including production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and contribute as a coach within our engineering team.
- Drive the architecture of our new fleet of microservices, taking a lead role in shaping our technical landscape.
- Deploy multiple times per day, actively participating in our iterative development process.
- Utilize C# within the latest .NET stack, with a preference for microservices hosted on Azure using Kubernetes for new implementations.
- Strive towards a fully decoupled, event-driven architecture across our entire software portfolio.
- Manage a mix of legacy services and greenfield microservices, addressing challenges in both improving legacy codebases and working on innovative projects.
Role Details:
- Location: Fully remote within the time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3).
- Reporting: Directly to the group Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- High proficiency in C# and the latest .NET stack.
- Experience with microservices architecture, preferably hosted on Azure using Kubernetes.
- Strong background in infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, and automated testing.
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a remote team.
- Passion for shaping and improving technical landscapes, both in legacy and new projects.
