HR Assistant at HRM Connection Ltd – HRM Connection Ltd Kenya Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily operations of HR functions and tasks.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to HR executives.
  • Maintain and update employee records, both physical and digital copies.
  • Process documents and generate reports related to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in planning HR projects, including meetings, training, and surveys, and take meeting minutes.
  • Address employee inquiries concerning HR matters, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing payroll by supplying relevant data like absences, bonuses, and leaves.
  • Handle complaints and grievance procedures effectively.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
  • Conduct initial orientation for newly hired employees.
  • Aid recruiters in candidate sourcing and updating the candidate database.
  • Ensure accurate job descriptions are in place.
  • Provide guidance during staff performance evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities for staff training and development.
  • Investigate and understand the reasons for staff absences.
  • Coordinate the staff recruitment and selection process to ensure a well-organized procedure for hiring.
  • Schedule and arrange interviews.
  • Participate in applicant interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks on potential candidates.
  • Provide assistance to staff and management regarding pay and benefits systems.
  • Review and draft policies, ensuring they are current and appropriate.
  • Build strong working relationships at all levels to engage and influence staff.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR role within the HR Department.
  • Knowledge of labor law regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting software.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
