Job Vacancy Announcement: Senior Devolution Officer (10 Positions)

Organization: Office of the Deputy President Location: Kenya Salary Range: Kshs. 44,400 – Kshs. 61,110 per month House Allowance: Kshs. 28,000 per month Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 6,000 per month Leave Allowances: Kshs. 6,000 per year Leave Entitlement: 30 days per financial year (excluding weekends and public holidays) Medical Benefits: As per Civil Service standards Employment Type: Permanent and Pensionable

Qualifications for the Position: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Minimum of three years experience in the grade of Devolution Officer 1 CSG 10 or a similar relevant position in the Public Service Commission Kenya.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Development Studies, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, Education, Entrepreneurship, Political Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
  3. Demonstrated merit and ability as evidenced by work performance and results.

Key Responsibilities: The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  1. Collecting, collaborating, and analyzing data and preparing reports on various devolution sector issues.
  2. Implementing regulations, frameworks, guidelines, standards, and procedures related to devolution and intergovernmental relations.
  3. Planning and coordinating Capacity Building, Civic Education, and Citizen Participation programs and activities.
  4. Conducting research, monitoring, and evaluating devolution programs and projects.
  5. Coordinating inter-governmental relations sector forums and activities.
