Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Experience of 2 years and above in a similar role.
  • Management experience of teams of 8 and above.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental guidelines and compliance standards in the gas station industry.
  • Certificate of good conduct.
  • Intermediate computer literacy.

Job Role

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train and motivate gas station staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional, efficient and clean work environment.
  • Customer Service: Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous and attentive service. Handle customer inquiries, complaints and resolve issues in a satisfactory manner.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the gas station, including fueling operations, cash handling and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety and security protocols and ensure that the gas station complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and train staff in emergency procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment, pumps and other station facilities to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Financial Management: Oversee payment handling procedures and ensure the attendants adhere to proper accounting practices. Verify daily payment receipts and prepare financial reports as required.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor gas inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid shortages. Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile sales to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and conduct ongoing training sessions for gas station staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with management to implement marketing initiatives and sales strategies to attract customers and increase revenue.
  • Reports and Recordkeeping: Prepare, maintain and submit accurate records of operational activities, daily transactions, sales, inventory and any incidents that occur at the gas station.·
