The Fuel Data Officer intern will play a vital role in spearheading fuel-related initiatives and cost-cutting measures pertaining to Jet Fuel Consumption within the organization. This role will also focus on enhancing the availability of Data and Information to support strategic decision-making related to Jet Fuel Consumption.

In-Depth Description

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a comprehensive aircraft fuel burn database.
  2. Gather data on fuel initiatives, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with fuel suppliers to ensure timely service delivery.
  4. Continuously enhance the database for aircraft fuel consumption, offering statistical insights to reduce operational costs for KQ.
  5. Contribute to environmental and sustainability projects related to fuel within the organization.
  6. Assist in miscellaneous tasks as required.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with Jet Fuel Operations, Flight Planning Procedures, and Flight Data Analysis.
  • Competence in analytical tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of the Jet Fuel Industry and Market.

Experience:

  • At least a B plain in KCSE.
  • A minimum of 6 months in Flight Dispatch Planning and Operations.
  • Background in Jet Fuel Contracting, Pricing, and Operations is a plus.
