Key Accountabilities
- Applying all safety, security, services standards, and procedures as stated in the Cabin Crew manual.
- Direct liaison with the flight deck crew in all matters related to cabin safety and cabin standards inflight.
- Promote high team performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policy/procedures in accordance with Operations Manuals.
- Contribute to Cabin Crews’ delivery of On-Time Performance.
- Coordinate with Lead Cabin Crew on all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety during flight.
- Maintaining high on-board standards while striving to maintain Operational Excellence and Efficiency
- Portraying a positive organizational image to the public.
- Welcoming passengers on board and directing them to their seats.
- Coordinate on-board activities with Lead Cabin Crew during flight duty.
- Other responsibilities assigned by the Lead Cabin Crew during flight duty.
- Attend and actively participate in pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
- Adhere to full company uniform policy.
- Complete incident/ irregularity reports in conjunction with the Lead cabin crew member.
- Ensuring that passengers have been served meals and refreshments while upholding to the highest industry standards.
- Complete security checks ensuring no luggage or personal items are left in the overhead lockers or seat pockets.
Skills And Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Training in the hospitality industry would be an added advantage.
- Experience in a customer service environment desirable with a natural flair for hospitality
- Computer proficiency
- Medically fit to meet aircrew requirements.
- Completed Initial cabin crew training.
- Completed line supervised training, Route Proficiency Check/ line check (post-employment)
- Have a positive attitude with a natural ability to provide excellent service working within a team environment, dealing with people from diverse cultures.
Education And Experience Required
- Diploma in Cabin Crew.
- Minimum age 21 years at the time of application.
- O-level academic achievements with a mean grade of C plain or equivalent
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili (Fluency in French will be an added advantage).
- Hold an unrestricted Medical Certificate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Hold a KCAA Cabin Crew Member Certificate with a Type rating for the Dash 8 aircraft.
