• Are you a financial accountant who is passionate about financial solutions, leadership in supporting the finance team, and general operations in a busy environment that offers required solutions to the team and entire business processes in an efficient and effective manner? We are looking for someone with mid-level experience in financial accounting to support the finance team. As a financial accountant, you shall be expected to support DHL Supply Chain, Kenya in providing Financial, Audit, and Tax leadership for the country.

About The Role Key Duties And Responsibilities

• This is a support position to the DHL Supply Chain Kenya Finance in providing Financial, Audit, and Tax leadership for the country.
• Responsible for the country’s Financial Accounting Ledger Reporting and Reconciliations.
• Adherence to tax laws, Ledger reconciliation, and preparation of tax returns.
• Responsible for Tax Administration, including payments.
• Support the Finance Manager with Internal Controls.
• Adherence to group financial reporting guidelines.
• Training the finance team on group financial reporting.
• Working Capital Management, External & internal audit coordination.
• Drive compliance awareness in the country.
• Ensure Compliance with all Local statutory accounting rules and regulations, Group Accounting policies and procedures, and other Compliance driven policies and procedures.
• East Africa Treasury Management, Bank reconciliations, Co-ordinating with SSC on timely Billing, allocation of collections, and timely payments of suppliers and cash flow management.
• Responsible for Country Balance sheet reconciliations as per Group guidelines, IFRS, and Local GAAP.
• Tax Management for Kenya.
• Custodian of Finance SOPs, ensure regular revision to adapt to the current operating environment.
• You may be required to undertake other duties as necessitated by business needs that may not be part of the responsibilities outlined in this role profile.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce – Accounting option.
• Qualified Professional Accounts (ACCA, CPA, CA).
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of an ERP system.
• Project management (From a finance perspective).
• Track record of strong P&L understanding.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Well-organized individual and results-oriented.
