Job Scope:
This position reports to the Financial Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily disbursements of loans to clients and reconciliation of the advances account.
- Filing of withholding, withholding vat, excise duty & Reverse Vat, Rental taxes.
- Timely initiating online/cheque payments on approval by financial controller.
- Preparation of tax schedules and support documents and submission to the tax advisors within required timelines
- Timely payment and submission of statutory returns i.e NHIF, PAYE, NSSF, Paye, housing levy and Nita.
- Responsible for staff imprest and reimbursements – branches and HQ
- Actively participate in bank reconciliation, account payable, accounts receivable and initiation expenses.
- Branch and Head office petty cash Management.
- Participate in end months closure procedures.
- Participate in internal & external audit.
- Acting as bank agent.
- Any other official duty as delegated by the financial controller.
Qualifications:
- Educational requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree & CPA(K)
- Proficiency in Computer Applications.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role working in a financial institution ie bank, microfinance etc
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
