To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for the safehouse by ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises.


  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Be responsible for the efficient and orderly management of cleaning and request for servicing and repair for broken items
  • Notify the supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
  • Deal with complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Check stocking levels of all cleaning items and request for replenishment when appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
  • Check and ensure that all rooms, common areas, and back-of-the-house areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist in the general cleanliness of the offices, kitchen, and washrooms.

  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
  • Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
  • Ensuring the availability of cleaning supplies in all sanitary places
  • Use cleaning materials and consumables economically.
  • Disinfect drains and dustbins regularly.
  • Empty general waste refuse bins and make sure all refuse is disposed off. promptly and using proper disposal methods.
  • Other duties, as required.


  • Minimum of secondary school education
  • Certificate in housekeeping
  • Experience as a housekeeper for not less than two years
  • knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
  • Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
  • Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
  • Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
  • Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively individually and with a team
  • Ability to work with people from different cultural settings.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Accountability to Affected Population.
  • Knowledge in PSEA and Anti-Fraud.
